Power Rake
Power raking is the process of removing thatch from your lawn. Thatch is a build up of dead or decomposing organic matter that accumulates during our harsh winter season. This process will help nutrients, water and oxygen to flow properly through your lawn, it will also help with the effectiveness of fertilizers.

Fall Clean up
We will clear the fallen leaves off your property so the potential of thatch (Winter Kill) on your lawn is reduced, This will also include your final lawn cut.

Deep Root Fertilizer

We use top quality weed-free sod for superior colour, 80% Kentucky Bluegrass & 20% Creeping Red Fescue. We will prepare your base & put a starting fertilizer under the sod for optimum root strength.
We offer a variety of mulch for your garden needs, we will supply and install that will give your yard the curb appeal it deserves.

The Green Effect Policy on Weed Control (Pesticides) Policy & Procedure
We at the Green Effect follow the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) approach. This means we only use weed control when necessary, If your lawn is weed-free we will use product that keeps it weed-free, e.g. fertilizer, soil conditioners, soil enrichers etc. We at The Green Effect care for the environment and to reduce our environmental impact, we will only apply chemical to your lawn when necessary.
If we apply any product on your property, you will be notified via Email or Text in addition to leaving a service notice on your front door detailing the service and a Green Effect lawn sign.

The Green Effect is a family-run business, locally owned & operated by Bob Shaw. I am a Licensed certified applicator and is recognized by Alberta Environment to apply Fertilizer & Weed Control on your lawn.
